Through out the training year the cadets of 2659 are given the opportunity to participate in field training exercises (FTX) and camping weekends.

These overnight activities are organized during all 3 seasons (fall, winter and spring).  The season dictates what skills are taught and practiced during each session.

Map and compass, GPS navigation, wilderness survival skills, orienteering, canoeing, Winter survival training, outdoor leadership and camp meal preparation  are just a few of the skill that are taught at these events.
